First read the article How to locate and change my brush belt
The brush belt is located inside your brush head and it's primary function in your KIRBY system is to rotate the brush. This makes your system very effective in cleaning carpets, mattresses, sofas and any other fluffy surface.
If you service with us regularly we will install for you a FREE belt and a FREE bag every time you service. So book for service now to get those freebees (over AU$16.00 in value)
For flat surfaces like wooden floors you can use the KIRBY hard floor attachment as well as the KIRBY polishing kit. They are available from the shop section on the right. Just select you model and scroll troughs pages to find the hard floor or the floor polishing kit.
Using grey market belts and bags may seriously damage your brush and your KIRBY! Resulting in expensive repair!
How to find out if my belt is working?
- Locate the green LED on your machine head.
- Make sure that the brush head handle is turned to green position.
- Switch-on your KIRBY and make sure is at the right height from the carpet. If you do not know how to position your KIRBY at the right height please check our article about positioning your KIRBY at right height.
- Look at the LED.
If he green LED glows steady as shown on the animation, your belt is working fine.
Even if the green LED flickers a little like the second animation, it means your KIRBY belt still works fine.
If your LED flickers a lot like on the third animation you MUST change your belt immediately.
If you can barely see the green LED or is permanently off change your belt immediately and book your machine for service.
